Paul Turgeon

July 25th 2021

Paul Turgeon, age 62, passed away peacefully at our home in Beaver, Utah early morning on July 24th, 2021. He was born on Dec. 12th, 1958 to Sara and Henry Turgeon in New Bedford, MA. where he grew up and attended Fairhaven High School. Paul had many friends and was quite the athlete. He had a sunny personality, which made him a natural leader. Paul and Margaret were joined in Matrimony in 1985, though they knew and dated since 1980, marking their loving relationship at 40 years. They moved from Colorado to Utah in 2000 to live in their dream home in Beaver. Here Paul continued to pursue his love of Nature and outdoor recreation with hiking, dirt bike riding, snowmobiling, shooting, river rafting and kayaking. He was always inspiring and teaching others the finer points of these sports in which he excelled so effortlessly. Paul showed his skill best when he made his snowmobile dance; turning, jumping and sliding with a ballet-like grace that was marvelous to watch. He loved to walk out on our land just to watch for the deer, rabbits and his favorite redtail hawk. He was always one to "stop and smell the flowers" and take a few pictures as well. Paul was an accomplished musician on piano and especially the Indian Flute. He often played outdoors, sending his melodies up to Heaven. His connection to God was of a mystical nature; true to the depth of his spirit. He was a unique, talented and very special man. We will Love and Miss him forever, but know we shall meet him again in the hereafter. Paul worked hard; he was an O.T.R. Truck driver for over 40 years. He won Truck Driver of the Year for the State of Utah in 2004 and 2005. He also had a perfect safety record for all the millions of miles he drove. Plus, no one could back a tractor-trailer like He could! Paul is survived by his wife Margaret, father Henry, step-mother Gloria, 4 brothers, 1 sister, his son Adam and various nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sara and 1 brother, Dave. We will Celebrate the Life that was Paul's in a Private Memorial Ceremony to be held outdoors at a date T.B.D., where his ashes will be scattered according to his wishes. Final arrangements are under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Online condolences can be sent to www.sumortuary.com Paul was a beautiful being with a love and loyalty for his family and friends that knew no bounds. He is truly free now, looking down and watching over us while he smiles his famous mona-lisa smile. God Bless him and All who knew and loved him.
