James W. Camacho

NEW BEDFORD “ James W. Camacho, 48, of New Bedford, died Saturday, February 3, 2007, in St. Luke"s Hospital after a long illness. Born in New Bedford, he was the son of Joseph and Anna (Borges) Camacho of Fairhaven. Mr. Camacho grew up in Fairhaven and graduated from Fairhaven High School with the Class of 1976. He was a communicant of St. Joseph"s Church in Fairhaven. Mr. Camacho was a manager at Strawberries Records until his illness. He enjoyed spending time with his dog, Max, taking trips to Foxwoods and digging clams with his father. He also enjoyed playing Santa at Christmas for his family. He is survived by his parents; two sons, Troy J. Camacho and his wife Monique, and Ryan S. Camacho, all of New Bedford; a daughter, Victoria Camacho of Plymouth, NH; two brothers, Michael D. Camacho of Fairhaven and Brian W. Camacho and his wife Laura of Lakeville; two sisters, Patricia McCloud of Fairhaven and Kathleen Brastow and her husband Kim of North Attleboro; two grandchildren, Dominick Ferreira and Kandyce Camacho; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
