Steve Ransom

Steve is the founder and president of Ransom Environmental Consultants, Inc. Steve's expertise in seeing the "big picture" issues and challenges for the industry and the company has been critical to developing a strong platform for future growth. He believes that the future hinges upon his team's effectively addressing each client's concerns and challenges in an accurate, thorough, affordable, and responsive manner. To this end, he is committed to the company's fulfilling its mission. This includes devoting considerable time to the selection and development of the individuals who form the Ransom team. As a senior consultant with more than 25 years of experience, Steve offers technical guidance to a staff of engineers, hydrogeologists, geologists, and chemists. Assuming overall responsibility for the quality of the company's work, he continuously monitors the status and progress of all projects. Steve has amassed a wide spectrum of project experience that includes facilitating business mergers and acquisitions, as well as serving as an expert witness in complex litigation cases where attorneys need an environmental expert with broad-based technical skills. In addition, Steve lends his expertise to projects that involve real estate transactions; site remedial action programs; investigations for the assessment of environmental contamination (soil, ground water, sediment, and surface water); compliance audits for hazardous waste generators; Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans; waste management and disposal programs; and hazardous waste treatment technologies. Since 1988, Ransom has completed more than 5,000 projects for clients located throughout the eastern U.S. Steve's degrees are: M.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering, University of New Hampshire, 1983 B.S. in Forest Engineering, University of Maine, 1980 and has these professional registrations Licensed Site Professional (LSP), Massachusetts Engineer-in-Training, New Hampshire Underground Storage Tank Certification, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection
