Email conversaton between FHS76.com's Senior Editor Mike Hartigan and FHS 76 exchange student Roberto! (Nov 09)

First of all let me congratulate you and Dave about FHS76 site. So good to see and read about these people after such a long time. Years ago Tom searched in the internet and found a cousin of mine and this was the first time a heard about Fairhaven after I had left. He sent me the invitation for the last reunion but it was impossible. Since then I started with the idea of going to States in a class reunion. I can not promisse Iam going. I can promisse I`ll make a strong effort because this is something I really want. Anyway back then I was away from my family and country and I made a lot of friends, learned a new language and a great deal about United States (my grandfather on the side of my father4s family was American, but that is another story, I talk about it some other day) Got back, everything was completly different, went on with life and because a letter took 15 days from here to the States and I wasn`t much of letter writer, I lost track of everybody. I'll try hard to attend next meeting. I remember Deb Costa as a happy girl, always laughing and talking. That was sad. I live far from Rio, Porto Alegre is in the South of Brazil, near the border of Uruguay. Rio Grande do Sul is to Brazil is what Massachusetts is to Unitet States, only the best state. As soon as get my camera fixed my wife and I will have our picture taken and I will write that biography, telling what has become of me to be in our page. Iam at the moment an unemployed health, enviromennt and safety supervisor, but the curve of crisis is almost over and I believe I`m goint back to business soon. I have a few old pictures with some of our classmates. I can scan and send them to you. I don`t know if the people in the pictures would aloud them to be published in the page. I`ll ask them. Muita sazde e paz Um abrago, Roberto
