FAIRHAVEN HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1976

Where We Are Now

Doug Robinson

Here is a profile that should bring me up to date........................ After a brief flirtation with post-secondary education I decided I'd be better off working in a shoe factory and painting what I wanted to in my free time. My first day at the shoe factory I saw a cute little french girl named Evelyne who didn't speak english and immediately decided I would marry her. Thanks to Mr.Dufour and the rest of the french teachers from junior and senior high drilling some of the fundamentals of the language into my head,I was able to engage her in small talk. After about six months of constantly pestering her she finally agreed to let me take her out to lunch. This December we will have been married thirty years. Our daughter Sophie is now living in Southern California, and our son Christopher is home with us in Mashpee. My mom still lives in Fairhaven and has become an avid Red Sox fan. My brother Hal is retired in upstate New York, and my sister Carol will be getting married this August in New Bedford. I have a cat and a bird, both over twenty years old,and neither of which likes me. I am sending some photos of recent paintings as proof I have developed a style with absolutely no commercial potential. Enjoyed the website!!! Great job. Thanks, Doug Robinson
